The lakes in the Mount Fuji area may be seen as “too” classic and too touristic. But everytimes I get there, I’m surprised to see that the magic still works, provided you arrive before the hordes of tourists. But this is not too demanding however: be there between 7 am and 9 am, or after 5 pm and enjoy. The best moments being definitely for the red leaves in autumn, for the cherry blossoms in spring, and everytimes there is a fireworks on the lake. There are usually many of them in winter and summer, in Kawaguchiko and near the others lakes of the Fuji Goko area.
