This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you access or use the TokyoStreetView website, including the interactive map, Locations, Videos, embedded media, external resources, and direct communications.
1. Information Collected Directly
TokyoStreetView does not currently provide user accounts, public comments, direct messaging, online purchases, a newsletter, a contact form, or direct file uploads.
TokyoStreetView receives personal information directly only when you choose to contact us by email or through a confirmed official channel.

When you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, organization, message content, page or Video URLs, attachments, licensing information, rights-related information, and any other information you choose to provide.
We may use this information to respond, investigate corrections or technical problems, process business or licensing requests, maintain relevant records, protect legal rights, and comply with applicable obligations.
2. Technical Information and Server Logs
When you access the website, hosting, content-delivery, network, and security providers may automatically receive or record standard technical information, including:

3. Cloudflare Web Analytics
TokyoStreetView uses Cloudflare Web Analytics and Real User Measurements to understand aggregate website usage and performance.
The Cloudflare analytics script is injected automatically by Cloudflare. TokyoStreetView does not use Google Analytics 4 and does not operate an analytics-consent or Cookie Settings dialog.
Cloudflare Web Analytics is intended to provide aggregate information such as visits, page views, referrers, countries, browsers, paths, page-load performance, and Core Web Vitals. Cloudflare may process standard technical information necessary to provide this service under its own privacy, security, and retention practices.
TokyoStreetView does not use this service to intentionally identify individual visitors by name and does not use it for personalized advertising or remarketing.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
TokyoStreetView does not set first-party analytics cookies for Google Analytics.
The website may use local storage or similar browser technologies for limited functional purposes, including remembering your selected light or dark theme.
Third-party services such as YouTube and Twitch may use cookies, identifiers, local storage, or similar technologies under their own policies.
You can control or delete cookies and stored website data through your browser settings. Blocking cookies or third-party resources may affect embedded Videos, Twitch content, maps, fonts, or other website features.
5. Search, Filters, and Interactive Features
Search, filters, menus, and map controls generally process information within your browser to display relevant website content.
TokyoStreetView does not intentionally maintain a personal history of individual search queries or map interactions. Such actions may nevertheless appear temporarily in browser memory or technical logs where required to deliver, troubleshoot, or secure the website.
6. Device Location
The website does not currently request access to your device’s precise geographic location through the browser geolocation interface.
The interactive map displays TokyoStreetView Locations and is not intended to track your physical movements or determine your precise current location.
7. YouTube Videos and Thumbnails
The website displays TokyoStreetView Videos and thumbnails supplied by YouTube or Google. Some Videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced embedded player.
When a YouTube thumbnail, player, or related resource loads, your browser may connect directly to YouTube or Google. They may process technical, account, viewing, interaction, advertising, security, diagnostic, and performance information under their own policies.
Privacy-enhanced embedding does not mean that no information is transmitted to Google or YouTube.
8. Twitch Embedded Content
The website may display TokyoStreetView content using the Twitch embedded player.
When Twitch content loads, your browser may connect directly to Twitch. Twitch may process technical, account, viewing, interaction, advertising, security, diagnostic, and performance information under its own policies.
9. Interactive Map and Esri Imagery
The interactive map uses MapLibre GL JS and map imagery supplied through Esri World Imagery.
Your browser may request map software, tiles, imagery, styles, and related resources from Esri, MapLibre delivery providers, content-delivery networks, or other relevant providers. These requests may transmit standard technical information, including IP address, browser information, requested resources, tile coordinates, request time, and referring page.
10. Google Fonts
The website uses fonts delivered through Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser may request font files and related resources from Google-operated domains, which may receive standard technical request information.
11. External Links
The website contains links to external websites, channels, services, and resources. When you follow an external link, the destination provider may collect or process information under its own privacy policy.
TokyoStreetView is not responsible for external privacy practices, security, advertising, retention, content, or legal compliance.
12. Service Providers and International Processing
TokyoStreetView relies on service providers that may include:
- Cloudflare and hosting providers;
- content-delivery and security providers;
- Google Fonts and YouTube;
- Twitch;
- Esri and MapLibre delivery providers;
- email providers.
These providers may process information independently or on TokyoStreetView’s behalf and may process information in countries outside your place of residence.
13. Information Retention
TokyoStreetView may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for operational, evidential, security, licensing, accounting, dispute-resolution, or legal purposes.
Third-party providers apply their own retention practices. TokyoStreetView cannot control every retention period independently applied by those providers.
14. Legal and Safety Disclosures
TokyoStreetView may preserve, use, or disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to valid legal process, investigate fraud or security incidents, enforce terms or licence agreements, protect rights and safety, or establish and defend legal claims.
15. No Sale of Personal Information
TokyoStreetView does not sell personal information received through direct communications and does not operate a business model based on selling visitor profiles.
16. Security
TokyoStreetView uses reasonable technical and administrative measures appropriate to the nature of the website and information handled. No website, email system, hosting environment, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
