How do you like your country’s taxis ? Here in Japan they are just amazing. The cars are always clean, they won’t try to invent long and fancy ways to take you to your destination. And above all, even when you order a car in advance, they won’t start the meter before you’re actually in the car. This particular point made me stop using french ones and use other services such as Uber for instance. I was just fed up arguing with drivers welcoming you with 30€ on the meter simply because they decided to, asking for 1 or 2€ because you had a suitcase in the trunk, etc. Using Uber in Tokyo… I actually never considered it, since the basic taxi service is already top notch.
