Usuki Castle Ruins

What used to be a small island is now one of Usuki City’s most beautiful historic sites. The ruins of Usuki Castle and its former keep have become a quiet park overlooking the city.

Although most of the original castle no longer survives, parts of its gates, stone walls and turrets remain, together with a small temple within the grounds. The elevated position offers open views across Usuki and provides a peaceful place to explore the city’s history.
