Tsugaru-han Neputa Village

The Neputa Mura (Neputa Village) is Hirosaki’s only museum dedicated to the city’s Japanese floats known as Neputas. Indeed, each city or village in Aomori has its own style and design. Hirosaki neputas for example are floats designed in the shape of Japanese hand fans. Open all year long the Neputa Mura will give you a chance to not only see some of Hirtosaki’s best neputas, but also learn about how they are made and operated. While of course there are is no substitute to the real thing the amazing Hirosaki Neputa Festival and museum will give you at least the chance to get a glimpse of these unique floats.
