About This Video
A few months ago we had the privilege to enjoy Sado’s unique Hangiri tub boat at night, and today we would like to share with you another video featuring these rather unique boats : the Tarai Bune of Ogi (Sado). Unlike the Hangiri night experience, this Tarai Bune takes place during the day, in a small section of port protected from the rough waves from the sea and surrounded by a very scenic natural landscape of rock formations and forest.
These Tarai Bune were used mainly by fishermen in order to roam on very narrow and winding coves around Ogi and thins since as early as 1868.
