Gifu Shirakawa-Go Ogimachi Village Winter Illuminations Part II - 白川郷 - 4K Ultra HD : Not only beautiful in winter by day, the Ogimachi village of Shirakawa-Go, turns on the lights at night for a few days each January, to become a life-size Light Sculpture.

Magical? In pictures the answer is most definitely yes, but in real life the place is crowded with so many tourists, it resembles places like Shinjuku or Shibuya on a weekend. Sadly it prevents you from really enjoying this unique event as it can only be experienced for a limited period of time.
