Ohnan town and district is not what one can call a true tourist hot-spot when compared to many other locations within Shimane prefecture. Honestly, this is exactly why we love Ohnan town and district so much! To truly appreciate Ohnan you have to see it from above, or at least from one of the many lookouts available around the town where you will be able to enjoy a unique patchwork landscape of tiny villages surrounded by gorgeous rice fields. We can understand that this kind of location may not be for all of you, but if you are looking to get some good old fashioned rest in a gorgeous countryside area, just give Ohnan Town a try and you will see how simplicity is sometimes the best way to happiness.
