Nachi Falls

那智の大滝
Wakayama Kansai Summer Daytime Nature

About This Video

After Mount Fuji, Chureito Pagoda, Obuchi Sasaba and Wakayama’s famous Taki Fall (Taki waterfall), the Seigantoji Pagoda is one of the world’s most famous locations wherein a single picture so much of Japan’s beauty can be seen. Right in the center of Kumano Nachi Taisha (熊野那智大社) history, the shrine is part of a large complex of neighboring religious sites that exemplify the fusion of Buddhist and Shinto influences that is unique to the Kumano region.

The product of its proximity to the main shrine of Kumano Nachi Taisha, the Buddhist temple of Seigantoji and it’s gorgeous three-story pagoda is just as impressive as the 133 meters tall Nachi Waterfall, or Nachi No Taki, which has been venerated since the earliest Japanese people.
