Mine Hakusan Shrine is a small neighborhood Shinto shrine in Tokyo’s Ota ward. For Children’s Day, the shrine is decorated with colorful carp-shaped koinobori windsocks.

Koinobori symbolize strength and perseverance, recalling the legend of carp swimming upstream and becoming dragons.
