Japan Bon Odori Association and SuperMatsuri LLC are engaged in the creation of a new Cultural Experience Activity. We wanted to give tourists the opportunity to experience this lovely, authentic, unique Japanese culture. Our main purpose is the Promotion of Bon Odori ( Traditional Japanese Folkloric Dance ) to the world and also a cultural exchange opportunity for Japanese youth.
Bon Odori is a Japanese traditional folkloric dance. Bon Odori, which has a history of approximately 1,000 years. Actually, this Folkloric dance is for worshiping ancestors in the “Bon (盆) season” (July-August) derived from Buddhism, and there are more than 1,000 different types of dance nationwide in Japan.
Usually, people dance in traditional Japanese costumes such as “Yukata.” “Bon Odori” has similar songs, and identical choreographies, so your mood can be effortlessly uplifting. Also, it is easier to create a sense of unity and communication by dancing in a circle or forming a procession with everyone. Bon Odori can be freely attended and experienced by young and old people.
Bon Odori Izakaya dancer group is BONJO. Female Bon dance Idol / Artist group. Working on the theme of “Attractive Bon Odori Festivals” with DJs and LIVE bands.
Bon Odori Izakaya Teacher is Ageha Bijou. Instructor at The Japan Folk Music Association, Instructor at Japan Folk Dance & Modern Performing Dance Association.Founder at Japan Folk Dance School of Ageha Ecole, Adviser at Japan Bon Dance Association. He has been active in COMMERCIALS, TV appearances, choreography coaching, and many other fields. Established the Japan folk dance “Ageha Ecole” (http://ageharyu.com/), which also teaches people as one the Bon Dance in Japan.
