First “they” restored the old building, making the old station beautiful again (along with some technical upgrades such as a newer quake-proof structure, etc.) Then they cleaned the mess in front of the station: it is now a mostly pedestrian zone with some vegetation, and underground parking lots. Far from the big taxi playground it used to be… which was convenient, had undeniable charms, but that did not really fit with the high end “Marunouchi style”. It took “them” a lot of time but the result is really worth the wait.
