I am a big fan of Marunouchi. I like this area. I like its harmony, its buildings, and above all I love how the beautiful Tokyo Station contrasts with its environment. An old horizontal building among a forest of vertical modern structures. An orange-red construction among dark blue building, bricks against steel and glass, old fashioned complex European lines against modern shapes… I find these contrasts fascinating and beautiful. I wish there could be more examples like this in Tokyo.
