I live really close to the Kyu Furukawa gardens, not far from Komagome station. And guess what… I had never even considered visiting those gardens. I stupidly believed that most japanese gardens looked alike and, being even closer to Rikugien, I had already a fine park nearby. What a mistake ! Kyu Furukawa gardens are by far the most beautiful ones I’ve seen in Tokyo, especially in autumn. Not too big, these gardens display a lot of vibrant hues. A feat for the eyes, really worth a visit !
