sakura by Pierre Caillault on

The first cherry trees are blooming. A few of them. The others, of more common species, were expected to bloom last week. But It seems that the suddenly cold weather we had recently delayed the process for a while, leading to some strangely comic situations. In Chidorigafuchi for instance (one of the most touristic sakura spots every year), you had everything: the staff for crowd management, the tourists, and their buses… all the ingredients were here, except for the flowers :)

Gear used: Fujifilm GFX 50s + 63mm f/2.8

Sakura season starting… but it’s so cold !
