A few years ago I had the opportunity to visit Pasona’s offices in Tokyo, to take some pictures for a French newspaper. This company specializes in human ressources and has its offices located right in the center of Tokyo, not far from Tokyo Station. They have developped an original working environment, based on the “office farming” concept. Everywhere you go, there are vegetables growing. Salads, spices, corn, tomatoes, cucumbers… you name it, they probably grow it, either in the corridors themselves, or in the many meeting rooms directly. These vegetables are taken care of by the employees, and eaten for free at the company’s restaurant. If things did not change since then, there should be a café opened to visitors on the first floor of this building in which you’ll drink something surrounded by a little stream of fresh water in which a few colorful koi carps are swimming.
