When spring comes many areas in Tokyo are worth visiting. Most of them, really nice, are packed with people… making it rather painful if your goal is to enjoy a piece of natural beauty. Many more confidential, less-known areas become way more interesting. The absolute best of them in my opinion being the Shakuji river, flowing through Kita Ku. You may start the tour from Oji Station, and walk a few kilometers under the trees. If you can, you may also rent a bicycle and ride there.
