Wednesday was the only nice and sunny day of this weird 2016’s hanami season… So Gonzague and I decided to walk along the Shakuji river in the northern part of Tokyo. To me, this place offers one of the most stunning display of sakura blossoms, without the inconvenient of dense crowds seen in popular places such as Ueno or Naka Meguro. You’ll find a lot more about this place in our free Sakura Guide. I was told about this location a few years ago by Benoist… Thanks for the precious tip !

Gear used: Nikon D800 + 200-500mm f/5.6
