I’ve been spending quite some time in a few major shrines lately. I’ve always been fascinated by the “omikuji” tradition. Basically, you put a coin in the box, and you’re gone for the holy lucky draw: an omen written on a paper will tell you if you’re about to face good or bad fortune. If the prediction is fine, take it with you. Otherwise just tie it around one of the hanger’s strings, and leave the bad things behind, at the shrine.

Gear used:
Nikon D810 + 135mm f/2 DC

Good omen… bad omen ?
